In May of 1983, I answered an Ad in the “Auto Trader” for a "1968 GT500 needs TLC $5,500". In order to take it for a test drive, the seller and I replaced both rear axles. The Odometer had 119,000+. The drive train and engine were extremely worn. No one seemed to notice or glance at the car. After years of driving it around as a regular old "Gas Guzzler", I started restoration on it in early 1990's. In Sept. 2010 was it's first car show. I take it out twice a month to run it as it should be run.
